The annual Mock AMS will be taking place July 27-28-29. All students receiving summer support are required to give a 20 minute talk. There will be training at the June 16/17 seminar. For those who have presented before, your title and abstract are due on July 18th. For first time presenters (and anyone else who wants some extra motivation), there will be early deadlines for submitting titles and outlines. In particular, for first time presenters we are asking for: the topic for your talk by June 17 (it doesn't have to be detailed; e.g. it would be enough to just say something like `Lens spaces', or`normal families of functions', or `Lie groups', etc.) an outline by July 11th (this includes the major theorems you plan to cover, and any examples you want to work out) There will be a live TeX workshop on July 13th for first time presenters; anyone who is unfamiliar with making beamer presentations is also welcome to attend!
